I am a medium toned african-american. my face is a little darker than the rest of my body, I believe my face is adrker because it is more exposed to the sun?

If I use sunscreen, will it just prevent it from getting darker or will it actually get rid of my sun tan/darkening?

Number One You Should Always Wear Some Sort Of Sun Screen On Your Face Daily It Help To Prevent Sun Spots And Early Aging. Almost All Facial Moisturizers Have Some Sort Of Sun Screen In Them (Even If It's Only SPF 15) Number Two A Sun Screen Will Not Block The The Sun. It Will Screen It. Meaning Only A Percentage Of The Light Will Actually Get To Your Face. Where As A Sun BLOCK Is The Only Thing That Will Truly Block the Suns Rays.

If you use sunscreen everyday it will prevent your face from getting darker and allow the rest of your body to catch up. You should actually put on a mild sunscreen everyday to protect your face because it is exposed to the sun more than any other part of your body. If you want to fade the color on your face you need to use a fade cream such as AMBI or get one with sunscreen in it and it will take care of both your problems.

This is at least the 2nd time you've asked this question. Be carefull or you'll be reported for point gaming.
If you're naturally dark on your face, you can't change it, you just have to accept it & make the best of it. Love yourself no matter what you think your flaws may be. Sunscreen alone will not help a lot. I have to protect my skin from the sun because of having already had skin cancer. I use sun BLOCK & an umbrella (big one) any time I am outdoors. Shade your skin, not just cream it. African American skin can tan, burn &/or get skin cancer too. Protect it.

Sunscreen will help prevent some further tanning. Sunblock will prevent any further tanning. Neither screen nor block will remove a tan. It will fade over time like they always do.

It should help lighten your skin over time. Once your tan you need sun to maintain the tan or it fades fast. The liter the complexion the faster the fade.
