I'm a general in the US Army and I have to go to Iraq in a week. My girlfriend is 3 months pregnant and she doesn't want me to go because she is afraid something will happen to me. But, I have to go. What should I tell her to comfort her?

first off we need stronger and more decisive generals in the US Army... are you kidding me "Sir"... i'm not saying to lose all compassion when you join the force, but this is your "country"... you have men and womens' lives at stake who are awaiting your orders, and you're asking Yahoo Answers how to break it to your girlfriend? Shame on you, where's PATTON when we need him... get serious
