My daughter is going to camp this summer, a WONDERFUL place called Camp Rockfish (www.rockfishoutdoorcenter.org), and they will be having bible studies, etc. during the camping session. I'm wanting to get her a bible that will be able to stand up to the weather, and possibly being thrown back into her duffle bag, etc. Does anyone have any suggestions? I did see one that was NT only, but would like to find the whole bible. Thanks!

The best thing is to get whatever Bible that's easy to ready... I recommend the N.L.T. version cause it's much more simple in translation but still true to the Greek.
My daughter's 6 yrs old and she's reading through the NrIV which is the New Reader's International Version.

As far as outside goes, I'm a diehard packer and I usually bound my bible with a good rugged bookcover from an outdoor store like R.E.I. They don't say "Bible" or looked Christiany or anything there just durable bookcovers. I get one bigger than my bible so there's room for a notebook, pen and booklight. That's all I need...

Hope she has fun.

A large book store should have or be able to order a paper back Bible in any translation you need... that way if it gets bent up it will not be a big investment... there are water proof ones but they are very expensive... a paperback in a locktight baggie is the way to go.
