If your that worried about it, your taking your diet a little too seriously. If your drinking diet soda or tea and you seriously want to get into better shape or retain your current physical condition, just drink water. If you want a little variety add juices or milk. But drinking something with sugar in it isn't going to kill you or your diet. It's okay to relax sometimes you know.

One drink is not going to materially affect any diet. There are only 150 calories in a can of soda which isn't nearly enough to make a dent in your weight/body fat percentage. The problem that comes from drinking soda is the fact that some people consume 4 or 5 a day. These empty calories along with the spikes in blood sugar resulting from them are the main issues with weight loss. You're cool. Don't worry. Forget you even drank it and just go back to doing what you were doing.

I agree with chmowrey. It seems like you are taking this way to seriously and being a bit obsessive about it. One drink is not going to kill you or effect your diet. The problem with regular soda's is that the calories can add up really fast and many people consume many more calories than they think, but unless it is on a regular basis, a soda occasionally is not going to kill your diet.

It might throw you off a little. Your body will create insulin to control the sugar rush, and once the sugar wears off, the extra insulin might make you a little extra hungry or sleepy (it'll be looking for more sugar to destroy). Just eat a regular meal and drink some extra water to flush it out and you'll be fine.

No worries. You should be getting some sugar/fat in a diet anyway. You'll be fine, you wont gain weight from one drink (or one candy bar, or one piece of chocolate - although all of them together...)
Anyway, no worries. Realize you made a mistake, it happens a lot, and you have to be more careful. Also make sure you arent completely depriving yourself - thats almost as bad as overloading

It's okay to slip once in a while. My nutrition plan includes a whole day in the week during which I can eat/drink whatever I want. But, I remain very strict the other six days. It works great for me. One soda isn't going to make a dent in your progress if you are doing well otherwise....

It will not hurt in you in the long run but if you have been avoiding sugar i would stay off the scale for a few days. Its not fat that you would gain, it would just be water weight. Just keep eating well today! You didn't mess up :)
