i would suggest getting the book called COMPLETE BOOK OF WEDDING VOWS by Diane Warner.. lots of great stuff in there... "The sun smiles on us today, our wedding day, and how can it not, for our love is stronger than forever and our hearts beat together as one..." also check out some sites online.. "The greatest happiness in life is the conviction that we are loved,
loved for ourselves, or rather, loved in spite of ourselves."
check out these sites below..

We used the traditional vows, with the traditional reading by St. Paul - it's so beautiful.

We just had traditional vows at our wedding, but I do have a couple quotes that may be along the lines of what you are looking for.

"Those who love deeply never grow old; they may die of old age, but they die young."
- A.W. Pinero

"A friend is one who sees through you and still enjoys the view."
- Wilma Askinas

"We are fallible. We certainly haven't attained perfection. But we can strive for it, and the virtue is in the striving."
- Carlos P. Romulo

"The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams."
- Eleanor Roosevelt

We just paused before our vows and let our favorite song play, then used traditional wedding vows.

The song said it all for us.

I heard this once and everyone thought it was awesome! Richard Gere said it to Julia Roberts in Runaway Bride....

"Look, I guaranty that we'll have tough times,and I guaranty that at some point one or both of us will want out of this thing. But, I also guaranty that if I don't ask you to be mine I'll regret it for the rest of my life. Because I know in my heart you're the only one for me."

The prayer of St. Francis says it best............

Lord, make me an instrument of your peace,
Where there is hatred, let me sow love;
where there is injury, pardon;
where there is doubt, faith;
where there is despair, hope;
where there is darkness, light;
where there is sadness, joy;
O Divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek to be consoled as to console;
to be understood as to understand;
to be loved as to love.
For it is in giving that we receive;
it is in pardoning that we are pardoned;
and it is in dying that we are born to eternal life.

And always remember this you will need it!
“Forgiveness is the fragrance a violet sheds on the heel that has crushed it”

"Marriage: A community consisting of a master, a mistress, and two slaves, making in all, two."

Marriage isn't a word--- it's a sentence

You don't marry someone you can live with, you marry the person who you cannot live without.
