Qur'an [5.82] - ...you will certainly find the nearest in friendship to those who believe (to be) those who say: We are Christians; this is because there are priests and monks among them and because they do not behave proudly.

As-salaamu alaykum - Peace be upon you

My oldest son's best friend is Muslim. They met when they were pre-med. Wassel was already married but when my son married his Muslim friend was his best man. The wedding was in a Lutheran church and it was great. When I think about Muslims wanting to kill all Americans, I know there is hope as long as Jim and Wassel are friends. Peace to you too

Storge:
I was enjoying my cup of tea until I read what you wrote. How can say that Muslims aren't protesting terrorists? I can easily find websites that dispute your argument. Also, I'm a Muslim and I highly condemn terrorists. You act like Christians are so perfect. There are bad people in every religion! Stop hating on people you will never met. It won't get you far in life.

Now, to the question. Sometimes I think we make progress with Christians, but then somebody has to say something rude!

The nearest in love the Muslims are the true Christians, for they are humble and obey what they know of their Prophet 'Isa ibn Maryam/Jesus son of Mary... 'Judge not lest ye be judged'. 'Love thy neighbor'. Beautiful teachings, yet corruption and division in their ranks the SAME as our ranks, dear brother...

Stick together and HELP one another even though we all are held accountable for our OWN sins. Verily, on the Day of Resurrection, Allah/God will judge us individually with Mercy and Justice.

May Allah smile upon you always, dear brothers/sisters.

Good to read. Not many Muslims where I live, but I have no concerns becoming a friend of a Muslim, or any other person.

Peace to you, and humbly yours.

Walaikum Asalaam,

The key is your true friends will always remain Muslims because they want what is best for you and understand life the way you do.

There are bad Muslims who stray you from Allah's path, but the majority are good for you.

Christians and Jews can be good friends, but their capacity is limited.

You forgot the first half of that verse that says Jews are the worst of enemies....
Surah 5:73 says - Pagans indeed are those who say that GOD is a third of a trinity. There is no god except the one god. Unless they refrain from saying this, those who disbelieve among them will incur a painful retribution.

God is the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. What will you inflict upon me for saying so? Is this why muslims dont protest against muslim terrorists?

The quran has nothing to do about God. The Christian bible says that salvation is from the Jews. All the first Christians were Jews, there are Christian Jews today, called Messianic Jews. Islam is the religion of hate, I know you want to try to be nice and bring us together and I love the muslims but Islam is false and I do not call them friends. They are the enemies I love. God bless you and I pray you will research where Islam comes from.... one false prophet.

aliasasi told me that can not be true. I believe that is the typical feeling and that is what hurts unity.
