I am and I don't

The thing is that if you are not sure what you believe then you may end up believing almost anything else. Maybe you need to take a little break from Yahoo Answers and get a full grip on things. You can lose yourself if you are not careful in here. Not all religions are true, and if you believe a lie when confronted with the truth, then you will act on that lie and be damned. Please take a break.

All relgious beliefs originate from God and one who believes in one God can be honestly open to the beliefs of other till the knowledge, reason and rationality support. You must have an understanding of human limitations on case to case basis. You can very well establish the limits between the knaveness and cheating. You can condone the ignorance but should not compromise with cheating.

So many things are very easy to say but difficult to practise.

Yes, you can make your own identity through your work and service to the society and you just cannot progress if you do not have faith in others beliefs.

Your Q itself says that you are a thoughtful person who wants to serve with your own full potential. Keep it up and you will find the truth shortly as God will be by your side.

Your Q has helped me also to introspect to find who am I.

Thanks.

Try this if you have time, take a drop of milk and place it into a cup of water. Watch how the drop of milk is diluted and mixed in with the water. Also note the water is now takes on the color of the milk. This is what happens when you open yourself to new ideas and thoughts.

I don't know.
I've lost the sprituality that i used to have, and i don't know what to believe anymore. I feel like i am sinning because i'm questioning my own religion.

I think that it's okay to be open to other beliefs. I hope!

It is called tolerance and understanding. You do not have to lose your own identity in order to identify with others. If anything, it can make you stronger in your own faith to witness the myriad of faiths that exist.

Sure you can, and you should.
If you were to take a comparitive religion course in school, you can learn about the teachings of other faiths without having to convert, right?
It's just like anything else: you can learn about it and still keep your own faith. Relax.

It's like going out to eat at Golden Corral.. there are lots and lots of choices. I look at all of them and decide what goes on my plate and in my body. Same principle for spiritual beliefs.

Grasshopper, just believe that they believe it, and leave it at that. If you know the way you've chosen is the true way, continue your journey. If you feel that another way is the right way pray about it and let the spirit lead you. My wish for you as that you seek Jesus, and commit your life to Him.
