Don't walk directly on it and don't worry too much. If it's just a little piece, it will probably work its way out by itself. You can wash the wound with a little bit of diluted iodine or peroxide if you are worried about infection. See how it looks in a few hours.

No need to go to the ER. Stay off your foot and elevate it whenever possible. If you have aloe vera and if the skin over the area where the glass is is still cracked, apply the aloe vera and the remaining glass may come up to the surface as the aloe vera dries and pulls moisture from your skin toward the surface of your foot. It worked for me when I had a splinter.

You won't have to go to the ER. A couple years ago a friend found a needle poking out of his leg (it was weird). He said his mom used to sew on the couch and it must have stuck into him in the middle of the night. Well it worked its way all the way through his leg and the I pulled it out with my pliers. If it doesn't hurt and isn't infected and you absolutely can't get it out, then don't worry. If you have a small pocket knife you can try to scrape it out, by slowly sliding the blade sideways were the glass is, it may snag it and work it free.

Soak your foot in Epsom Salt added to warm water, it will draw the piece of glass to the surface. This may take more that one soaking...do it for at least a half hour at a time.
