i just came back from hong kong.......75 degrees and cloudy. the mosquitos are starting to come out. last december, january i was in guangzhou a little north of hong kong. it was in the 40's up to 60. and you will be cold, not because of the temperatures but because of the humidity. once it gets below 70 degrees F it feels like winter in the midwest. take a winter coat with you and you'll be fine.............

By HK standards it's pretty cold. Temperatures may drop to 9 or 10 degrees C, but may be as high as 20 degrees C. It is generally cloudy, foggy, but rain at that time of year is unusual. The city's famous humidity is almost absent in winter, and the locals will be dressed like eskimos in big coats and scarves.
