It's really a matter of preference. I started letting my puppy sleep with me since the day I got her. She has slept in my bed every single night...I don't make her stay in the crate. However, if you don't want to do it all the time you are probably better off getting her used to the crate while she is young...she will cry a lot at first ...but eventually get used to it.

Yes it's ok but make sure that's what you want. If the pup gets used to sleeping and being on furniture it'll be a hard habit to break.

I have a 1 year old St. Bernard and she sleeps with me, my husband and my son, yes all in the same bed. UG!! I don't think most dogs are heavy sleepers so I think if you moved, she would move. I would let her sleep with you, I like to spoil my animals.

I would not let my dog sleep with me, because the dog needs to iknow that you are the leader of the pack, and the leaders always sleep better than the other pack members.

Of course it is. Watch you don't roll over her..I have four sleeping with me and the only reason the other five don't... is because they are to lazy to walk up the stairs. There is nothing wrong with sleeping with your puppy.

its not ok...but thats for a couple reasons...1st of all he still cant control the bladder at that age...so you might get a midnight peeing on you...the other reason is that such a young puppy will not be able to survive you rolling ontop of it in your sleep...so its a lil dangerous...i almost killed my kitten when i was young and went to bed with it..but i do have dogs, and they didnt make it into my bed till i had them for 6 months...but beware...once they get into your bed, they never get out of your bed...greedy lil bastards

Unless you want to share your bed for the rest of that dog's life, the answer is no. Crate training is best.

Yes, but I think your dog might wake you at 6 am even on weekends.

It would be safer and better for training if she slept in her crate. You could accidentally roll over on your pup causing severe injury.
