Actually, mixing paint and mixing light is a different process. Its the same general idea, but you get different results.

It all has to do with colour spectrum. Try using your tv up the blue shade what do you get? Purples etc paly with the colour on your tv its produces colour kinda of the same we see it.

how do you get orange paint when you only have red yellow and blue.....you mix red and yellow....same type of thing
