Anyone have some sites where these are available? All I can find are sleeveless or totally strapless gowns.
David's Bridal offers the ability to 'add' sleeves to strapless gowns but they are all sheer and totally useless.
Don't any women that buy wedding dresses have tattoos on their arms that they want hidden at their wedding???

I just don't think my tattoos being exposed at my wedding is appropriate, which is why I want a dress that will cover them. I put my tattoos higher up on my arm so I could cover them at work as well.
I just feel that there are inappropriate times for them to be 'out there'.
I also don't feel that my arms are toned enough for a sleeveless or short sleeved dress.

This company will make ANY dress they have with sleeve, short sleeve, long sleeves, 3/4 sleeve, any style sleeves!! They make thier dresses to order so they are all customizable! I got my dress from a local store that carries casablanca dresses and I got my dress made with little cap sleeves. They can do any sleeve you want. Also, they are SO pretty!!! I promise you, you will not be disappointed!

I went to a local bridal boutique for my wedding gown and there were a ton of options. Most of what you see online will be "trendy" but there are a lot more traditional options in the stores themselves.
Another option is to go to a seamstress and have your dress made. Try on some dresses to determine what features you like best and then describe those features to a seamstress who will work with you to make your ideal dress come to life. You may find that it doesn't cost that much more than buying a dress off the rack.

It's actually just a marking scam... because it's great for companies... it's cheap and easier for them to do strapless and lot less work to alter and fix. It's also less fabric, pattern pieces and they can make the dress for under $100 a pop (dress costing $1,200). You are correct sleeves are hard to find and it's nice to hear from a bride who actually wants to hide her tattoos... I have tattoo as well but their is a place and time for them and I don't agree that they look good on brides. When I was in David's some girl was having them alter it so you could see the giant sun on her back for her wedding... nothing says WT better then having a white puffy wedding dress alter to show off some body art.

I totally agree with you - there's something really classy about a traditional wedding gown with sleeves. They are out there - but are being eclipsed by the FAD of strapless gowns.
Not all women buy them to hide tatoos, or I know of some who have rashes on their arms, or flabby arms -- I just think it looks really great to have a classic silhouette of a wedding gown with sleeves and a full skirt/train. It balances out nicely.

I got married last year and I got my dress from David's Bridal. I know when I looked online at dresses, they were all sleeveless, but when I went into the store to try dresses on, I was able to try several dresses that did have sleeves. Hope this helps.

I think that is the current trend in gowns. If you want to cover tats..
You might want to consider water-proof makeup. Dermablend makes a great one that can hide even severe burns and discolorations (like vitaligo). It will come off only with alchohol.
You also should consider having a dress custom made. It might not be as expensive or consider a vintage gown as an option.

When I read the headline I was going to suggest that Davids Bridal option...I actually just learned about it the other day browsing there site! I know Davids does have some dresses with sleeves. I was just browsing their site and they don't have any online, but I know they have some in the store. I've seen them. Here is one that has short sleeves that I found:
http://www.davidsbridal.com/bridal_gowns_detail.jsp?stid=2019&prodgroup=10
If it's just the tattoo that you are looking to cover up...they sell make-up that you can put on it that will cover it up...actually I think Davids Bridal sells it...lol :0)
You could always get one of those jackets to put on over the dress...that would cover it up. Like this one:
http://www.davidsbridal.com/bridal_gowns_detail.jsp?stid=2642&prodgroup=10
You could always check out some other stores like these:
http://www.alfredangelo.com/index.cfm
http://www.moonlightbridal.com/frontend/default.asp
http://www.brides.com/fashion/dresses/gallery/landing
Did a yahoo image search for wedding dresses with sleeves and this is what I found:

http://www.thebridalworld.com/2362.html
http://www.thebridalworld.com/2190.html

http://www.thebridalworld.com/2271.html
http://www.thebridalworld.com/2390.html
http://www.thebridalworld.com/2472.html
But I think you get the idea...lol (sometimes I get carried away), but I hope this helps you! They are out there :0)
Oh and here's a link to that tattoo covering kit I was talking about:

Good luck!! :0)

From what I have seen, the only dresses with sleeves are medieval styles, which there are a ton to be found. But they can also custom design a dress that is not medieval if you wish.
