No. Cover it with honey. This is not a joke. You'll find it not only takes the pain away, but germs and bacteria cannot live in honey. Try it - you'll be amazed.

Hot water is better than nothing, but I would rather use betadine or chlorhexidine. Then dress it with a triple antibiotic ointment and a non-stick pad (telfa or equivalent). Really hot water can make the wound worse....by adding a burn to it.

As long as the wound is not contaminated with dirt or anything, this should be OK. Of course if there are wide cuts in the wound or it is contaminated you might want to have a doctor look at it.

, i dont know about the hot water thing , but do know that there are many better things to do , and also faster ,
first , u wanna use an antiseptic , but some of them burn alot i.e ( medical alcohol ) , thats why , u gotta use the kind that is like ( Dettol ) i dont know if u know that , but its a made in the UK antiseptic , its perfect for that use because when applied on hurt skin it does not hurt at all , and its so good , i dont know if u know that , its a brown liquid antiseptic , and when added to water it becomes white .
there is a type of dettol thats for body use , the liquid's color is light green , so i think u gotta search that and see wats the equivalent in ur place or if u know it , go ahead n use it , Nte that u gotta mix it with water b4 applying it on skin ,

pouring hot water on your wound IS cleaning your wound.

a little soap wouldn't have hurt.

just put on a band aid and get on with your day.

its def not bad, but its just not the best option. you should clean the wound and apply an anti biotic ointment. and then cover it.

Hot water will do, it's better than nothing
But hydrogen peroxide would be best


You haven't hurt anything
