There would be no difference. Single and members with dependants pay, only varies in BAQ (H) and that varies with the area that they are stationed in. As a general rule of thumb a member with dependents will get about twice the BAQ of a member without dependents. The pay does not vary with the number of dependents.

The base pay and BAS is the same. The BAH will only change if the children are not on their Page 2 as dependents. If the children stay on their Page 2 as actual dependents, meaning, they are the ones claiming them on the IRS income taxes, the BAH will also stay the same. The children need to live with the service member or stay on the Page 2 as dependents in order to get the BAH with Dependents rate instead of the single rate. If the other parent has full custody of the kids than the service member cannot claim those children and get paid for them. The years in and the number of children makes no difference. The military is not a welfare system so you don't get paid more for each child you have.

There is no difference base pay doesn't change, BAS wont change and neither will BAH/BAQ. The reason is because the only difference is 1 dependent and everything is done either with dependents or without dependents not the number of dependents.
