energy rays being absorbed as those cells become more and more powerful suckers of energy? Similar to a magnifying glass burning a piece of paper but related to the burning through the atmosphere?

It is the concentration of this absorbtion of electromagnetic radiation that I am concerned with. When a beam is concentrated it begins to take on a force. At points in that force increase, there arise effects from that force.

You seem to have solar cells confused with broadcast power. Solar cells absorb electromagnetic radiation.

You have a big misconception of solar cells. They do not "suck" energy out of the sky, suns rays, etc. Flying above a solar cell which has the suns rays "falling" on it is just like flying above a tree which has the suns rays falling on it.
Many years ago there was an idea to put very large (one or more miles in diameter) thin film solar cells in orbit around the earth and beam the energy collected to earth by means of microwaves. Like putting a potato in a microwave oven, that idea could "cook" an airplane and its occupants if a plane flew through the waves. For many reasons, nothing became of the idea.
