I bought a 2d hard drive for my PC, and the plug from my PC would not fit to the port for the hard drive. The "pins" on the non-fitting hard drive were way too small (like the kind of pins they use with modern cell phones & their adapters). The pins on the cable on my PC actually LOOK like pins and are larger. Anyone know what each pin system is called? I don't want to order the wrong one again! Thanks!

It sounds like you bought a SATA (serial ATA) hard drive. What you probably need is a paralled ATA drive. Here is an article that talks about the difference along with pictures.
