Just about any First Lady...Eleanor Roosevelt is a good example, as are Hillary Clinton, Rosalynn Carter and Jacqueline Kennedy.

I also like the earlier excellent example of Susan B. Anthony.

Let's not forget Ann Richardson, former TX Governor, as well as Sandra Day O'Connor and Ruth Bader Ginsburg, U.S. Supreme Court Justices.
