The Troops who are In Iraq right now I wish well. I can only hope you all come back safely. But this is a serious question. War is dangerous for people. Our people who are ultimately charged with the responsibilitity of defending OUR way of life.

God Bless Our soldiers, where ever in the world they are deployed.

The public has supported the troops a lot more in IRAQ, whether they support President Bush or not. The public during Vietnam hated the government AND the soldiers. The technology is much better now too. You're right about that.

Lol, Obviousely 100% of people would say Iraq, the equipment is better, the budget is higher, and the death rate is only a small small fraction of what it was in nam. In nam they would lose 3450 people in a couple of omnths, let alone in 5 years! This war has had an outrageousely successfull outcome in terms of fatalities compared to other American fought battles.

Right now I'd rather be in Vietnam. In the late 60s and early 70s, I think I might have gone to Iraq instead...

Iraq of course! Because so far we have lost more people in Vietnam then Iraq so there would be a lesser chance ofdying. Plus you would have better body armor and weapons.

im in iraq right now, and as far as living conditions goes i aint got too bad, but as far as the fighting goes, its hard to say, theres good days and bad days, ive lost a couple friends in the past two weeks and it aint easy, and i dont exactly like bein over here, but its my job, one of the things we could do without though is the civilians over here makin boocooz of money doin nothing, but at any rate, i wouldnt want to be in either, but i am, and im glad its this one, we have the support of the people back home weather they agree with the govt or not, and that really does make a difference in the morale

Frankie, today I would much prefer to be a soldier in Vietman, at least today in Vietnam the only shooting is with cameras, unlike Iraq where we are in the middle of a civil war.

After careful thought I would rather be a solder in Iceland. Great winter sorts. nice hot drinks, not too much to do except sit by a radar set and watch blips.Pretty girls too. Two hours on and eight hours off. Corned beef snackes, apple pie, Twinkies. Great military post.

I would prefer to be a soldier in Iraq, just because of the new technology.
