I was wondering how this stacks up selection wise, and price wise, against typical grocery stores, such as Walmart SuperCenter, etc. Can you get healthy/organic, versions of almost anything that you enjoy?

Are the prices way out of hand? How much would you pay for normal items there, like a loaf of bread or a can of soup, a box of cereal? Is this a lot higher than other grocery stores in your area?

I am trying to get a little healthier, and I am moving into an area where it would be possible to shop there but it would still be a bit of a trip to get there. Wondering if it is worth my time. Can you shop there on a budget?

I do my Organic shopping in a city about 90 miles from home, where there are both Whole Foods and Wild Oats
(its' competitor).
While I cannot afford to buy even 1/4 of my total food bill there, it IS worth the trip. I try to buy veggies, breads, eggs, etc from local farmers in the nice weather, and use Whole Foods for soy milk, oils, herbs, soy cheese, unusual flours, etc.
I get some items from a Coop that delivers where I live.
I watch the sale papers for the regular stores and
"Cherry Pick" buying only their sale items.
The way I shop isn't easy, but my family is vegetarian and we've had health problems in the past. I have found that spending more on healthier foods costs us less in the long run by way of lowering medical bills.
Good luck.

Of course you can, this is what I do, I look for bargains and sales, and clip coupons. The organic products are healthier and about the same price...........But you can definitely do it on a budget.
