im in 6th grade and he's in 4th. Went to bed@ten last year, now 9:30, cos he says it's unfair!! What should i do??!!

Wow..he's pretty lucky...my kids have to be in bed by 8:30 on a school night!

If you want to be treated in a more mature way, you need to act mature. If you feel that it's unfair, don't whine about how unfair it is. Ask your parents to sit down at the kitchen table and discuss this situation. You can tell them how it is inappropriate for them to have changed your bedtime to an earlier time because of your younger siblinlg. You can also point out that in 4th grade you went to bed at ???? and it was only increased as you got older. It may help you if you write down some of the things you want to say that way you don't fall into the whining and that kind of stuff. Good luck and God Bless.

Be happy that you dont live at my house. My 3rd grader is in bed by 8:30 and my 8th grader is in bed by 9.
You kids are just always on each other. Fighting about stuff that really is not a big deal. Is it really hurting you to be in bed by 9:30?

Wow your brother is lucky my daughter is 11 and she has to go to bed at 9:30 on school nights.

try explaining the whole 'you can stay up later when you are older' speech. it may annoy him, but if you keep giving in to him, then he will never learn and may become spoilt.
If he stays up late he will become tired and depressed, so it is up to you to help him! could you pretend you have gone to bed and then saty up watching tv???
or maybe say you will treat him to something if he goes to bed at a certain time, and punsih him if he stays up later?

You are both still awfully young, you do need your sleep....9:30 is not unreasonable,,,you have to get up early don't you?

my sister is 16 and i am 14 we both are aloud to stay up as late as we want my mom didnt want to deal with us agruing so its been like this since i was in 5th grade
