get her to stop doing that? She is almost 3 and it drives all of us crazy! Is there a solution? I don't want to take her to the vet, I've already asked him about it and he wasn't helpful. She is healthy in all other ways. If you know a solution, please let me know. Thank you! We love our labs but the licking is annoying!!

It's a little mean, but you won't have to do it very often. Come home with some Cayenne pepper on your hands a few times. It won't hurt her, but she really won't like it.

Find another vet. It could be an allergy, an OCD (Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, yes dogs do get them) or any number of inconsiquential irritations. Your vet can recommend a allergy treatment or a direction to look for the allergen and help rid the dog of the problem. If an OCD, there is also medication for that.

Labs are prone to skin infections. Go to another vet who may be more helpful.

It could be allergy. My puppy used to do that, so I changed her diet to an all natural one, without corn and wheat. Now she is fine!
