Drink plenty of water and cranberry juice. Stay away from alchohol and caffenine prducts. If you just don't want to go to the doctor to get the meds than you could go to a drug store and by AZO Standared, it helps tremendously for the pain. UTI'S ARE AWFUL!

i don't know why you wouldnt want to do antibiotics. if the UTI gets into the kidneys, you could become septic. Try drinking a large quantity of cranberry juice (not cocktail, but 100% juice) and follow by so much water you think you'll hate water from here on out. That can flush the system after you change the ph level making the bladder inhospitible for the bacteria.

You need antibiotics to kill the bacteria that is causing the infection. To HELP the antibiotics, drinking cranberry juice and lots of water is your best bet. Take an over the counter Tylenol or ibuprofen to ease pain/fever.

You'll probably need a prescription. But till then guzzle cranberry juice (at health food stores) diluted with water. It's bitter but it may do the trick. The regular cran juice in the grocery store has sugar.

drink as much cranberry juice (try not to get a cocktail with added sugars as they'll just add to the problem) as you can stomach.
Water too.
Hydrate yourself to pee it out.
But if it still bugs you after a day you should go to a doc and get antibiotics to really kill it dead.
if you don't fully rid your body of the infection they come back a lot easier.
staying hydrated and drinking cranberry juice works for prevention too.
