Since the last 2 weeks, ive been itching my neck, my inside arms, my thighs, my inside knee, and my lips have become very dry. I'm not allergic to anything. And it's been a struggle to stop itching at night. Ive been using Aveeno ' itch soothing cream ' (the blue one), and it doesnt seem to work. What else can i use that will definetly heal my itch and dry skin, and what has caused this?

You could be suffering from eczema, which can be brought on by heat, stress, or allergies.
Even if you think you don't have any allergies, it may be an allergic reaction. These often develop in your teens, 20s or 30s, and can sometimes happen quite spontaneously. If it's all over you it might be to do with washing powder or something.
Use a very simple cream - something like Johnson's Baby Oil or E45 - and try to wear loose-fitting garments in natural fibres (eg cotton, silk). Make an appointment to see a dermatologist or your usual doctor. If it's eczema, you'll need a prescription cortizone cream to treat it.

This sounds a bit more than just dry skin. Maybe you have been in contact with something you are allergic to. If it persist, I would see the Doctor.
For really dry skin, you may want to try Gold Bond Ultimate healing skin therapy. It is relatively new on the market, but comes in lotion and cream. This is the best I have found, as I have extremely dry skin. One other thing, most of us take too many hot showers and baths. This is quite detrimental when you have dry skin. You may want to cut back some and just bath the areas that need cleaning. We wash away the natural oils. The same with dry hair. Too frequent shampooing does the same thing.

Itching could be caused by dry skin. It can also be caused by allergic reaction, dehydration, or be the symptom of a disease. Try drinking more water, and using a skin cream (thicker than lotion) after showering. It's better to use it when the skin is already moist, as the oils in it will lock some of it on the surface. You should also make an appointment with your doctor. Tell him about the itching, he may suggest a better treatment, some tests, or refer you to a dermatologist.

Curing dry skin? Use vaseline & gloves at night while your'e sleeping. My Dr said to do this with my feet and ankles, which are very dry right now (except he said to use socks). My husband also has lots of dry skin problems and his Dr has always said to keep him lathered in vaseline whenever the problem starts in. I don't know about the lightness/darkness thing.... A Dr might know more about that.... A lot of folks have problems with dry skin during the winter. I would suggest seeing your Dr if it's really, really bothering you.... AND definately go in if it continues after winter is over. Sometimes it can be a symptom of other problems. Good luck and p/u a large container of Vaseline! You won't be sorry....

Dry itchy skin happens to a lot of us during the winter months. Dry heat dries out the skin. I had a lot of success with this method. I showered in warm (not hot) water with a mild soap. After I rinsed well, I squirted baby oil over my shoulders, arms, legs, stomach and back. Then I let the shower run it down my body as I rubbed it in. Pat dry, do not rub, with a soft bath towel. This has solved my problem. I use a bottle of baby oil in two weeks' time but oh, it feels so good.

Try a bath with baby oil, 3 or 4 tablespoons, that should help.
Or try Hydrocortisone cream (it comes in a tube)
Calamine lotion is for itching also.
I hope something helps.
