If a guy is labled mentally ill, should he pay child support?

Guys that are labled mentally ill are a drain on national reasorces, not of their own making. But adding insult to injury by assessing that fellow $30,000 in child support can only increase that drain, by making it even harder (imposible?) for that fellow to get a job and keep one, let alone found a business. Additionally, it is a secret court that decides whether or not that "mentally ill person gets disability; and presumably a court did not do that fellow a favor by labeling him nuts in the first place so how likely are they to "help him out" - when the other side of the child support coin is forced labor in prison presumably rhetorically for fraudulently representing himself as "mentally ill" in order to escape child support? Maine prohibits child support to be assessed the mentally ill by statute; but the courts ignore the statute by saying out of both sides of their collective mouths "the guy is both mentally ill and not yet proved mentally ill" - untill given SSI or SSDI.

So, the question is: Should the courts by rhetorically stating a man is insane be able to place that fellow in a catch 22 wherein he cannot earn money and pay his child support? But he cannot also apply for SSI, SSDI for fear that if he does it will usually result in automatic prison, and thus he cannot pay his child support? ~ or wouldn't it be better if the courts stuck their noses out of things and let the non- jailing DHHS handle child support ~ legally ~ without rhetorically jailing political opponents?

It seems to me the public doesn't get that the courts are in fact defrauding us. The rest of the government does get it, at least in simple majority; later laws intended to prevent judicial malpractice! But the liberals lack the 2/3 vote needed to actually fire a judge deliberately breaking the law to "help cousin Vinny" by hobbling all of Vinny's competition. When any "so called judge" places imputed income potentials so large as to be unplayable then jails his "competition" for not "making the grade" he is committing treason. So my question is really: should judges lie to you about the issue of child support and count on lackeys to emotionally charge the issue and thus cover up his crime? It clearly isn't the intention of most courts to feed children; 70+% of all "child support is unpaid because it is literally illegal to earn anything at all if one cannot earn the "imputed income goal" established by a court. Forced labor clearly is one goal thus sentence secrecy. Is this good?

It seems to me that many if not all of the respondents don't care that illegal aliens don't need to earn incomes fantasized by their courts. We wonder why Jim down the street won't take Jaun the illegal's job? Well, JJustice Billy Crapper ordered him to earn five times more than Juan! If he doesn't he goes to forced labor in prison! Thgis doesn't permit Jim to earn any wage at all, period. How then can he pay child support? Well, he can I suppose turn to organized crime like Justice Billy Crapper, and get "elected" judge by the pot heads supplied by Juan! Hmm? AND FORGET THOSE "SILLY" COMPUTERS FOR FIGURING OUT YOUR CHILD SUPPORT; IF JUSTICE BILLY CRAPPER WANTS YOU MARRIED AND DIVORCED IN HIS COURT HE'LL USE DATE RAPE DRUGS AND JUANS SISTER THE WHORE AND SHE WILL NOT GIVE YOU AN AMICABLE DIVORCE, JUSTICE BILLY CRAPPER WILL INSIST ON THE HIGHEST PAY ON THE SCHEDULE AND GUESS WHAT? ONLY JUSTICE BILLY CRAPPER IS GETTING THAT PAY LEVEL AFTER HE CLOSED THE MILL FOR DUMPING LINT!

I for one am in assisted living. And I for one am assessed $30,000 per year in judicially imputed income potential. In other words: the statutes don't mean crap. The judges "are Gods" as I've been told by seven attorneys. Nobody cares what fraudulent web sites you put up. ~or should care~! This locality is ruled by policemen that really hurt people with firearms then call them crazy. And You insist I go to court - tell them I won't make porn - which is a legal occupation in Maine that "any screw ball can do" - and get placed in jail for my morality, and because I was shot in the spine while raising money for poor kids (Salvation Army) and yet won't get a sex change opperation so I can continue to F%$#!!!!!! For your perverted judicials.

If there is a loophole here, it is not the father's loop but the judicial's. Hey they are sometimes crooks too! And crooks fight over territory; and the best way from a crook's point of veiw is to get the cops to keep the competition out for you. So, I as a deadbeat dad cannot employ you (no business license) then the judge's cousin Jimbo will (or he might farm your area to the Japanese, Koreans etc. for a cut.). Judges can also be spies. (A fellow came up to me introduced himself as the judge that ran me over and said he worked for a foreign firm that competes with those US defence firms that my family worked for.) The question is: does anything a judge do work for you as long as he says it's in your interest, against bad fathers, especially when he is acting Unconstitutionally,in secret? 75% lack adequate medical insurance. A deadbeat dad (elder, minority) that looses a job must stay out of court; he invites jail by asking for his due and his families due in terms of medical rights.

Appaerntly some of you do not realize that people do on occasion get shot through the head. For instance, would you feel the same way about a person shot in the crossfire at a drug bust? (police shot by accident? - but refuse to pay because they "just don't have to with a certain party in power? Especially if they can "just" say he is crazy and the bullet either never was there, wasn't them, or doesn't cause any symptoms?) So, a fellow may have children before symptoms show, or before being shot. (Or both) Or a cop might have his daughter date rape drug the fellow, because apparently the arrested for child support cannot sue? In other words, do any of you intend that police should rape, after "mistaken discharge?

The old saying goes, "You want to play then you have to pay!" Anyone that makes a baby should have to pay to support it. Doesn't matter whether we can afford it or not. everyone knows that going into a relationship, if not they should have surgery done to prevent it.

you have some good points, but the bottom line is, if the disabled can hold a job, so can the mentally ill person.

Maine does not 'ignore' the statute, for that statute only applies if the person is in a mental inst or down for the count whereas he requires "assisted living" for he is unable to function.

read it right and stop looking for a loop-hole.

You sound like my ex-husband... he tried everything else in the book and is now saying he is bi-polar to avoid his responsibilities to his children. He says he is applying for SSD while he is still working (but not reporting it!) I KNOW he is working because my kids are covered under his insurance through his labor union which only continues when they are WORKING.
