Offer other drink choices. Make him eat first before giving him liquid. A 15 month old only needs to eat food that would fill the palm of his hand. Not a lot.

He only eats what you give him! Make up nutricious meals in advance. Allocate the amount of milk you are going to give him. Say 8 fl/ozs a day at breakfast time after his weetabix, if he is thirsty have his water cup always full and there for him. Common mistake not having water cup available. Cut out the junk food! Have fruit for snack mid mornin and mid afternoon. He will chuck the stuff around to start with and scream a bit but this is where you need to stand firm. With in a fortnight you will be wondering what all the fuss was about.

Give him food first and not the milk and limit the amount of milk to just 3 glasses a day. Offer him whatever you are having to eat and eat with him. Offer water or some other in between meal drink option, but one that is low in calories and sugar so he won't be full on it.

Cut down on the milk, that's a food in itself. Give him water or diluted milk. Chose healthy food for him ie fruit and veg instead of 'hot dogs and sausage rolls (junk food) The eating habits he develops now, will stay with him all his life.

I think this is very normal. I had the same prob and my midwife told me that as long as my baby was having her milk it contained every nutrient she needed. I gave her milk 8oz morning and night with meals and snacks in between. As i was told their stomach is about the size of half your palm so they cant eat lots, as long as he is having small amounts i would not worry ie. esp fruit and veg.
See your health visitor she will advise, depends if you want to keep him on formula milk till he is 2 yrs old. You could always give him his meal followed by cows milk.

My first thought is to provide less milk. Allow him to drink as much water as he wants, but only one cup of milk per meal. If you are concerned about him not eating enough, talk to your doctor.

Let the little bugger starve for a week, then try again, he/she will probably wolf things down, including your fingers so be careful......................
