Ok..I talk to this guy over the internet all the time just as friends nothing else..we got into a conversation about why he didn't have a girlfriend. He says, hes words "she slept with his friend while he was in the house are you satified" so I said "please one more question, did u walk in on it ?" he replies F@#% you and signs out. I left him a message telling him he should be ashame of his self and I won't go down to his level and curse him out and I wished him well in life. So....I see him on line all the time and I was wondering should I ask him "why did he do that?" and I want to know was I wrong in some kind of way? help.

It seems that from his answer of "are you satisfied" that you really did upset him, and then by asking him more about it, you pushed him into a corner. Even if you did mean to just ask it as a caring friend.

People deal with things in their own time. People who are cheated on or hurt by their significant others may be ready to deal with it right away, directly after it happened, or they may need some time to let what happened sink in and think about the ramifications.

My best advice is to leave the guy alone... it's his call what to do next. I think if you contact him, you will only push him a little bit further into a bad mood. Hopefully he'll contact you, but if not, be the bigger person, give him space, and hopefully your friendship will resume!

Mmm. I personally would have left things alone after his first response. He's obviously still hurt and bitter of what happened. You could appologize and see if that works, if not, I'd move on. No sense in trying to be nice to someone who either isn't over something like that or is that rude to begin with.

sounds like this is a super sensative issue for him. maybe 'talk' to him and explain that you didn't mean to hurt him, but you just wanted to know more about him and what he'd been through. if that doesn't go well, leave him alone, he has bigger issues than you want to deal with.

Forget the guy, forget that it ever happened and don't try to talk with him again. You obviously struck a chord which hurt him deeply.
