I have alot going on in my life. And it seems that it is all falling apart at the seems. I hate discussing my issues but better with strangers than with people i know. I'm stuck at a fork in the road and i don't know which one to take, I've seen people travel down both and I'v seen them fail and succeed. I want to play basketball but can't even make my Comm college team. And I'm getting into real estate investing. That's one of the roads now do i quit basketball my love and passion for money? or do i try n go for both. I love basketball but i can't go anywhere in it. If i do work, then all i will do is make money. I dont like either one. My ultimate goal in life is to help the Phillipines as a country, and i can do it through basketball but like i said i can't even make my college team. Can you pray for me and ask the holy spirit to guide me in my walk? also, if oyu have advice let me know. I'm open to anything.

If your passion is leading you to the Phillipines, then I would work towards getting there as a priority. My guess is that if you head there, you will find your nitch and will have a far greater chance of making the local basketball team there.

Have you looked into Phillipine Colleges?

If you can't make the basketball team at the community college level then it's probably not in your future...

I would actually recommend going for both. You can work towards the real estate career but be practicing and trying out for basketball on the side. So when you're not studying for real estate go shoot some hoops, run some laps and train yourself. That way if your basketball thing doesn't pan out then you still have a solid real estate career to fall back on.

And real estate can help you make enough money to help out the phillipines.

By this confession "I want to play basketball but can't even make my Comm college team" sounds like playing in the NBA is not in your future. But if you love the game why give it up? Join a club, play pickup games in a school playground, coach a kids team, get into refereeing.. There are a lot of ways to stay in the game. There is money in real estate if you know what you are doing and you are good at it. Go with the skills God has given you and follow His guidings to where He wants you to serve Him. I would guess you have already heard from Him the path He wants you on with your heart filled with compassion for the people of the Philippines. Use you tallents to obey Him... Jim

Just because you can't make a college team doesn't mean you have to give up playing all together. There are many rec teams available. Maybe even a church league. Yes, it takes time, but if you were considering a school team, you were willing to give up a ton of time. Rec leagues just have 1-3 games a week usually and practices are sometimes there too. You can play rec league ball for as long as you are able, while still having a good job and making money to help the Philipines. I think you can do both. Continue to seek God on your direction, ask your spiritual leaders for help too.

Well, God knows your passion, your motives, and your heart. He knows what you're willing to do, and you know that the Bible says to trust in Him. You have to first of all, take every bit of doubt out of your head. Secondly, Pray that God reveals to you THROUGH confirmation of words from wise lips what you should do. and Thirdly, God WILL make it so that you have time for your passions. Just make the wiser out of the two choices. Making Real Estate money does take alot of time, but if you're good with people and dilligent in it, the you will be prosperous and you're pretty much your own boss. You work when you want. There is such thing as free time... you just have to set priorities straight and let your beloved friends know your schedule so ya'll can hang when it's possible.
God will bless you with the money and way to help the Phillipines. Just be dilligent and faithul with the little.

To help the Philippines you best bet is to become a financial advisor. Their current system is socialist. That is if any member of a family makes money it goes to someone that currently needs it and they have nothing to save.

This is devastating to a people who don’t have health insurance and if someone gets hurt or goes to the hospital to have a baby the money has to be raised.

Changing this doctrine will allow them to save for a future wither it be a home or education. Currently their best-educated people are being shipped off to other countries leaving the Philippines with out trained personnel.

Jobs need to be opened up in that country so growth will be created and the peso that has been climbing can finally start going down.

If your passion is to play basketball, I'd shoot for it. What's stopping you from making the team? Work on it. After you've done everything you can and you still can't make it, perhaps that's not what the Lord has planned for you. Try something else. But, before you decide on anything...pray and seek God. He is in control of your destiny. Ask Him to help you and direct you in the way He so chooses. And ask Him to help you to be able discern His voice so that when He does tell you where to go, you'd be able to tune in and obey.

I'll be praying for you. He knows who you are.

Hang in there.

It sounds like you are wandering through life without asking what God wants you to do; this spells disaster. Try prayer and you may not get an answer right away. I would wait until you recieve an answer before doing anything hasty. God may be closing a door to basketball for a later time. Have you thought about becoming a coach instead?

If you aren't that good in basketball, indulge your passion as a hobby. Real Estate is not a good place to look for a livelihood right now. Spend less time on this religious crap and focus on what you need to do to get to your objectives. Check with a counselor at school for education and vocational counsel. Thats who can help you, not some invisible entity.
