You would not have a filing requirement, but if there was any Federal Tax withheld you would want to file to get a refund if this is from wages reported on a W2
If this is income from self employment you would be required to file a 1040 with Sch C and SE

You are not required to file with an income below $800. You would want to file, if you had taxes withheld from your pay. You would also want to file if you are not being claimed as a dependant on anyone else's return. If that is the case, you would probably be eligible for the $30 federal telephone excise tax credit.

I'm not entirely certain, my guess is "no". Call your local H&R Block who should be able to let you know. No offense, but with that small amount of income, tell the IRS you can't afford a pen to write with, let alone a 39-cent stamp!
Really just teasing about your income -- sounds like you probably are a student and that was money earned during vacations. If so, then the $800 was not too shabby! Good job !

No, your income is lower than the minimum required to file. If however you are someone who has filed in the past, it may be better just to file online (use a free service as your income level qualifies you), just so the IRS has a record of your filing, and that way if next year (or future years) you file, you do not have a gap in your filing history which can raise a red flag.
