I am a single parent, as of three and a half months going through a divorce! I can't help but think you didn't just asked this question to get one word answers from everyone across the globe, so let me share what I have learned with you. Being a single parent is great, whatever issues you may have had with your ex, (even if they were never present), are in the past. Yes, things may or may not be very ugly depending on you situation, but the fact is that you have a child, one whom calls you a parent, one whom looks up to you for guidance and support, and one whom loves you even when they don't say as much. That being said, who ever said being a single parent is such a horrible thing?!! I've gotten out and socialized well more as a single parent as I ever did when the nuclear family was intact! Irregradless of how your prior circumstances enabled your happiness/dissapointment, there is hope out there, and there are others in the same situation, although it does take time to make those connections. On a last note, becoming a single parent really makes one begin to value the friends and family around one's self, for those who stick with you through the toughest of times are likely to still be there when you're going through the best of times. Being a parent can be tough when there are 2 of you,it has to be even harder when its just 1.

Before you put up the question you must be aware already that many people are & plenty not. I am quite curious why you need to know as you didn't elaborate how any body's yes or not could help to clear up any question you have.
