We are giving bubbles at the church so they can blow them when we are leaving.... and then at the reception hall we are giving them a chiffon bag with 2 pear candles in it and it reads " the perfect pair".

Bubbles are normally not favors because they are given at the church.

Whatever you decide to do, keep it so that it's consumable. While favors are nice, I certainly don't go to a wedding and judge the bride on her favor choice, it's a wedding, not a 6 year old b'day party, ya know? I just hate it when it's "stuff" like a personalized mix CD, or a photo frame, or something with the bride and groom's names and wedding date on it, that "stuff" usually gets thrown in the trash the next day as I'm cleaning off the kitchen table. I feel badly, because I know the bride stressed this decision PLUS they spent money on it. At least when it's something I (or my children) can eat, I don't feel so bad, ya know? Good luck!

We are getting married in Cabo so we are bringing bubbles down there for the guest that are coming down with us not to mention the other luxuries they are getting from the trip, but the reception will be in our city. We are sending the invitations on seeded paper, paper that you plant when your done with it and wild flowers grow, we will of course have candy and tons of food and free drinks and a few wedding beach balls for the kids. I think that's enough for our situation.

There's a reason why they are called favors, because you are thanking your guests for coming. You can have 1 or 100, it's totally up to you! At my wedding, I had two types: m&ms and jelly beans (because not everyone always wants chocolate). Best of luck and be creative!

One type of favor is plenty, whether it be a cd of your favorite love songs, a picture frame, or even making a donation to your favorite charity. People aren't there for the favors (usually) so anything you do will be great, good luck and congratulations!

Hi, our wedding is in the fall so I bought cookie cutters in the shape of fall leaves and will print out a sugar cookie recipe on cardstock with a love poem on it and attach for favors. Then I plan on baking a bunch of the leaves and sprinkling them with colored sugar to look like leaves since most guys won't want cookie cutters. Good luck.

The number of favors is totally up to you as the bride and whatever you deem appropriate for your budget. It is merely a token to thank them for coming to share your special day and to remind them years after when they look at it of your wedding.
Best wishes for a beautiful wedding day!

We are giving...

A Bell: This is a place card holder and is used instead of clinging the fork (for a kiss)

Breast Cancer rubber bracelet: My Grandma and my closest Aunt both died of Breast Cancer (my Aunt at 35). They cannot be there in body so this is in remembrance of them. I also donated cash to help fund mammograms for woman. I am a guy but I feel strongly about early detection. They will be placed on every table when our guests enter after cocktail hour.

Ice Cream Scoop: On our first date, we went for ice cream and that is when we hit it off. These were cheap so we go them for after the wedding.

one type of favor is enough. It's really up to you. We gave out caramel apples (half plain, half with nuts) People will appreciate whatever you give. It's just a way to tell them thank you for coming to your wedding. :)

one type of favor is more than enough. I had bells with our wedding date and names on them. They were very cute, and people rang them all night.
