Hi I have a Sony Handycam CCD-TRV238E it is hi8 with no USB ports :( Is the anyway I can put it through my PC so I can put my videos on DVD via my PC? PLEASE help thanks xxx

i think i answered this already.. anyway i'll answer again just in case

you will need a video capture card (so your computer will have rca inputs) and a video capture software that will work with it. Once you have those installed, setup your camcorder like you would plug it into the tv - hook up the cables and put it in vcr or playback mode. Plug the other end of the cable to your video capture card. Run the capture software and ready it for recording. Then just playback on your camcorder and run the software to record.

regarding the capture card and software, it would be best to consult with your local computer shop/dealer on what would be compatible with the computer you have now.

You need to get a PCI capture card from Dazzel or Turtle Beach or a lesser quality USB capture card from Turtle Beach.

nope.... u cant... only thing u can do is get a cam with usb ports......and use your tape on it....
