I tried Parmesan cheese for two minutes and got a piece as hard as the tile on my floor. I want to use it as a bowl for serving a salad, or even spaghetti. Saw it on TV by a Sicilian chef. He microwaved it, then [placed it on an inverted bowl, and Poof! a serving bowl made of cheese!

place the cheese in the oven. long enough for it to melt. and starting to brown. pull out of the oven and using a spatula drape the cheese over a bowl. Alton Brown done this the other day on food network.

I use a Silpat and a baking sheet in the oven, the cheese becomes plyable then place it over the size bowl you need, place an inverted plate on the bottom to make it flat, cool and your good to go
