Achilles is a good choice, or you could go with something easier to remember, Dog, the best dog name ever.

Well, the breed is thought to have originated of the island of Newfoundland now part of the province of Newfoundland, and Labrador, Canada. So I respect I would give him a Canadian name (try to google "Canadian male names") or a name meaning chocolate as in coat color. I like Hershey, Nestle, Almond, Cinnamon, Moca Latte, Browny, Snickers, Choco, Reeses (peanut butter cups) getting hungry yet? lol :)
Well, thats about all I can think of for a male dog. Hope I was able to help, Good Luck! :)

Labs LOVE water; how about Aquaman? They are very loving-Valentino. Conan (The Destroyer) meaning don't leave any clothes or valuables in reach. Have several names to try. Animals pick they're own names. He'll let you know when you call out the one he likes. No kidding.

We have a chocolate lab/Weimeraner mix that we got at the pound. I had all kinds of names planned, but she already knew her name, Molly, so we stuck with it. You might try something to do with chocolate, like Nestle, Hershey, Reese, Mr. Goodbar, Snicker, or Musketeer.
