I am a SAHM with 2 kids. My daughter is 5 and my son is 2. When my son goes down for his nap I myself am so ready for a nap also. My daughter doesn't nap anymore but she will watch a movie and I will watch it with her and take a quick power nap. People tell me how horrible it is I do this.
I am told I am "just" a mom how tired can I be.

Any others need a nap???

"Just a Mom" I s the most AGGRAVATING phrase I ever hear!! It makes my blood boil when I hear someone say that. I think yeah Obviously YOU are Not Just a MOM. Enjoy Your NAP and DO NOT feel bad for taking a little time to recoup. You deserve it.

I took them all the time, getting my husband off to work and being a mom all day to two small kids would wear anybody out. It seems to me that the experts on child rearing are the ones with no children. The Japanese people know the true value of naps and businessmen make power naps a part of their daily schedule.

If you have a 2 and a 5 yr old you should be sleeping through the night so why do you need a nap? You shouldn't be sleeping while either of your kids are up.

When your 2 year old goes to sleep and your 5 year old is watching tv...that is not bad at all who is telling you that you are doing wrong...they dont know what its like to be a mother obviously...i dont see anything wrong with it...but i cannot do it...not that i dont want to its just i have this concious about it and i would rather just be up "just in case" and i am always tired because of that....like right now i could be sleeping i prolly should be sleeping because my 3 year old is out like a light but i physically cant...at least you can take a nap peacefully and dont listen to what anyone is telling you... You know your kids better than anyone else who cares what they think!!

You are not a horrible mom. If people quesiont how tired a mom can be, ask them if they ever spent 24 hours with a young child. If you fall asleep for a brief period during videos and your daughter is responible, I do believe a catnap can be beneficial. I need a nap everyday, unfortunately my children are to small to nap unless they both are. Trust yourself and ignore others, because they do not know what you daily life is like.

Enjoy your nap! Don't listen to the others who say otherwise, they are just too tired and cranky. I am 17 weeks pregnant with my third. Soon as my son gets on the bus, I am on the couch taking my power nap. When I get up, I feel refreshed, and get more done.

Being a MOM is tiring!! I don't care what anyone says. Even with a newborn, they may not do much but you have to do laundry, wash dishes, make meals, bottles, diapers, thats just the MOM part. There is also housekeeping, which is a whole other list!! Girl, take a nap!! You need it! Don't let others make you feel bad or guilty. You're not hurting anyone.
