Why are fingerling potatoes so expensive?

they are 4-6x the price of white or new potatoes.

Do you realize how much that the farmers have to pay the little bitty harvest folks to get down there and dig those potatoes out?

They are rare...potatoes only have a limited number of fingers ya know

I dont know but they are really expensive and dry.
