Best is to chew gum during take off and landing to avoid pressure in the ears.

To clear, take a deep breath in, close your mouth AND nose and breathe out hard. This generally works for men but for some weird reason, women find it difficult.

well you all covered the bases but dang, ask an ear doctor about holding your nose and blowing really hard. Really stupid. He will tell you to hold your nose & swallow 5 times or hold your nose & sip water many times. Chewing gum makes you swallow too. Ear Nose & Throat doctor should check it if it persists but mine tells me to take a
warm glass of water
add 1 teaspoon of baking soda
1 teaspoon of peroxide
flush your nose with this mixture. don't tilt your head back to do it. Tilt it to the side. Do both nostrils tilted on one side & repeat tilted to the other side. This is excellent for allergies, sinus problems, that lump in the back of your throat, cold & flu season, parisites, infection..and yes after I fly..and I do fly my own plane. It works for me

Try wetting a finger and placing it inside of the ear canal. Form a seal, and then pull out your finger fast to pop out the water. Or, sleep on the side that's plugged... that should drain the water out by morning. Good luck!

I usually open my mouth wide as possible and then close my mouth and swallow. I have that problem to, it has become a daily routine for me. Try yawning or shaking your head . Good Luck

Yawn or open your mouth really wide that sometimes will do it. You can also try to pop your ears again and they will go back to normal.
