To AP Rum and Raisin is available here in NZ it is nearly as good as Kiwifruit, when you can find it
The Supermarkets have a good range but it is the smaller shops which serve them in cones that offer the surprises
We do have Wendy's over here which serves American style ice cream and to me that is rubbish ice cream.
Give me Tip Top or Talley's any-day.
Come and judge for yourself

Today, the United States is the absolute leader in terms of volume consumed, but the highest per head consumers are in New Zealand.
Looks like ice cream is popular in New Zealand.

We have a wide range of Ice creams, although I must say the specialised ice cream shops (or stalls are limited – the only name that comes to my mind is Wendies). All the supermarkets have a very wide range of ice creams) Surprise surprise there are no ice creams with alcohol here. So if “Rum and Raisin” is your favourite sorry you will have to make your own.

NZ ice cream is up there with the best. I don't know why, but ice cream and coffee are the two things here which I think are unrivalled worldwide. The selection of ice cream types may not be as mindboggling as it is in the US, but the quality is fantastic. It's the kind of creamy, thick ice cream that'll make you go heavy-weight in no time, and you won't even mind...

My dad worked for an ice cream company in the USA (lucky me!) Here in NZ yes, ice cream is very popular. Sorry, though, you won't find places like Bresslers, or Farrell's, or Baskin-Robbins, or Dairy Queen.
One of the oldest, most well-known NZ ice cream companies is called Tip Top. However, I really like a brand called Movenpick - their vanilla is exquisite.
I haven't been able to find my favorite frozen desserts - sherbets. The closest I found was a kind of orange ice cream with chocolate chips in it. (!!!) Not exactly like orange sherbet. However, some really superb frozen fruit yogurts here :-)
I've been looking for frozen novelties (like orange push-ups and fudge bars). I haven't found the push-ups but I found something close to fudge bars -- a frozen treat called paddle pops. They have an ice cream treat called a Trumpet - which is like the drumsticks I remember - and Trumpets come in several flavours. Yummy.
Most neighborhood dairies (they're like convenience stores) sell Tip Top novelties and you can also buy a hand-dipped ice cream cone or a milkshake.
All my friends who visit love the Tip Top Cadbury's varieties like Dairy Milk (chocolate) and Hokey Pokey. I'm really glad that NZ is a big ice cream nation. Come on down, you'll love more than the ice cream :-)

Yes, ice cream is popular here in NZ, and very good. We export some of it. And it's not a stupid question.

New Zealand would not have 'boarders' we've areas ~trolololol No, yet heavily, do you have any theory what share illnesses could be in nutrients/seeds? Stoats have been introduced into the rustic. Now all Kiwi birds are endangered. Possums have been introduced in. Now they're pests. we don't choose your illnesses to grow to be epidemic, we've discovered from our previous animal blunders to no longer herald issues which could doubtlessly positioned the rustic in possibility. ok, so cool down. only using fact they took your weed is not any reason to get indignant.
