I see your point but the way you phrase it is off putting and very rude. Sure, there are fanatics on both sides. Does it make them ignorant? Maybe. Close minded. Oh yeah. At the end of the day, another person's beliefs or lack thereof don't affect you. There's no need to cry about it. You're not going to change anyone. No one is superior to anyone else. Some might think they are enlightened or even above the idea of some "sky daddy" but, no one has the answers to anything. It's all an idea or set of beliefs. It's when you can't expand your mind in the slightest that you run into problems and cut yourself short.
The point really is that no one knows anything for sure. People can sling insults all they want. No one has any tangiable proof for prove God exists or that He doesn't. The debate will go on and on because it's human nature to want to be right. It's a hell of a lot easier to just say "I might be wrong" but some people's egos don't allow that. Oh well...

They're not. The farther down the intelligence road they go - - the more religious people are.
Ridiculous ? only to the superstitious
No human being can know that there are higher powers.
It's not knowing, it's believing.
I can say - - gods are only in the minds of the superstitious.
I'm not fanatic about my beliefs, but I do and will answer whenever anyone bashes my beliefs, as above.
And may your Lord have mercy on your ah-soul.

First I think you don't know what ignorance is? Ignorance more or less is lack of knowledge, atheists, especially the ones here, often have knowledge of God and religion, but have no evidence to prove any religion, or any God, and therefore use that knowledge to determine there is no God. What if I told you there was life on another planet, you have the knowledge that there is a seemingly infinite amounts of planets, questionable evidence of aliens, and lots of fictional stpries about aliens. So you are not ignornant on aliens, yet choose not to believe in them, why, because it makes sense with the knowledge you have.
Of course the flip side of this is the fact that really we're all ignornat, but in comparison to the most ignornant atheists more often than not are ahead of the curve.

I am agnostic as far as I agree there is no absolute proof of the existence or non-existence of a god. The difference is, that logically, it is impossible to DISPROVE his existence, but it is within the realm of possibility, that if God exists, he COULD choose to make his existence obvious....so far he has avoided that option.
I am fine with the possibility of some sort of advanced creature with "higher powers" who could be labelled a "god" somewhere in the universe. Something like the "Q Continuum" on Star Trek. I concede that is within the realm of possibility in an infinite universe.
But usually when people talk about being atheist or agnostic, they are referring to some specific gods.
What I am absolutely with 100% certainty convinced is that "bible-god" is complete mythology and fiction. I know this for a fact. This is neither arrogance, ignorance or "ridiculously out of my league" Similar with Allah, Krishna, Zeus, Odin, and any other manmade gods you care to name...their lack of existence I find to be self evident. Their believers all are atheistic to other gods, I just go them one god further.
If you are agnostic about them, then you are just as delusional as the believers. You are also rude and ignorant yourself, but that is another issue.

I agree, they seem to be so concerned about making fun of our beliefs [christian beliefs] that they don't even believe in anything!, i would like to know where they think they come from :)
I can't say that we're 100% right, because we do not know all the answers, we haven't seen God either, but i think we've seen other things that show that he exist!, I think there is a lot of people who may not believe in God, but they accept the existance of "Good" and "Evil", karma, call it whatever you want, but we see evil everywhere, and also good, things that can't be denyied, we just believe that there is someone that all that good/evil came from, that we're being protected by a God, who created us, and loves us.
I respect people who don't believe, I just wish they would let us praise in peace!, without having to tell them time after time why be believe in God.
and then they say that we try to convert them! :P lol

No, we don't KNOW their is no higher power. But we are pretty sure. We believe in the big bang and evolution because they have proof, unlike a god. Very few of us are obsessed with denying a god. We just state that we don't believe in them. Don't generalize your question like all atheists do that. It's not true and very rude.

I think you have a point but i'm not ignorant by no means. I personally just feel like the possibilty of one God is very unlikely very very. So since I feel like that I can't be agnostic right? so what's left for me,,, Atheist. I can't help the way I feel and because I feel this way does not make me Ignorant.
thank you for reading this.

i question the existence of God, yet i am not as extreme as an atheist. there's still a shred of hope in the back of my mind, that maybe there is a higher power out there, who looks out for us and guide us in our every move. i guess there really is no right or wrong answer for this one. you'll just have to be the bigger person and not stoop as low as they have. if that is what they believe, there's no point trying to convert them

You make a point that Atheists don't really want published too loudly. The belief of an Atheist is just as strong, as it is opposite from a Christian. I ,along with you, prefer to withhold judgment until sound proof, either way, is discovered.

True
Science today supports the concept of a need for a creator. What we can never know is weather God is here today unless he is an active part of our lives.
