Also check if the camera is being sold ‘new’ or ‘refurbished’.

Refurbished are usually repaired and reconditioned from the manufacturer. These are usually merchandise that have been returned to the manufacturer, after a customer may have purchase and then returned within a short and certain period of time, or complains of some type of problem with the item. Then they are checked and reconditioned/repaired to "new" status, but must be identified as "refurbished". Usually the warranty on refurbished items are for a longer period of time than the new item.
