How do you pronounce "Swarovski", the crystal products brand? Is that in German? So does it mean the w is pronounced with a v sound?

The name is originally Polish, but the family and their company have been Austrian for many generations, so the y pronounce their name in the German way "svarOfski".

Yeah... being Polish then it would have to be W=V, V=F... sVaroFsky.

It s like Volkswagen. FolksVagən... I haven t heard someone saying wagen...

it is polish :) but still the w is pronounced a a v but a thick v at that so it sounds like SV-WAH-ROV-SQUIE

but in america u can say it any way u wish sewer-off-sky works just as well :)
