if your daughter is under 21, i suggest you don't or she will be arrested. you might want to tell her if you do this as well, if not your just retarded.

Why don't you contact the local authorities if you have questions about your local laws.

I'm guessing if you have that wrapped up as a gift it's not a problem. Because then your daughter isn't transporting alcohol, she's transporting gifts.

When I went to France, I would have the wine wrapped as a gift, then when I came back through to the USA, it was just a "gift" that I was claiming, not wine. I was under 18 at the time, and also under 21. It wasn't for me, it truly was a gift!

If you have any questions about the legality of your minor daughter transporting alcohol (albeit unopened) you should definitely be contacting your local officials.

To be on the safe side, I would just wrap it really well and mail it by first class mail or by UPS from a UPS store. Good luck with that!

Um, lemme think. Flying in an unpressurized cargo area and probably freezing temperature which then reverses suddenly as aircraft descends and all contained within a suitcase surrounded with all the travel clothing. Oh, yeah, that will make an interesting impression on your Aunt. Be sure to tell her its a gift.

As far as I know, the TSA still restricts liquids in carry on luggage, so you couldn't put it in the carry on bag anyway.

The next issue is possession by an underage person. I am assuming that your daughter is underage, or you wouldn't be asking. I think this is a bit trickier and would say that it is probably better to not send the vodka, even in checked luggage.

Simple Answer - Yes. But only in checked luggage. No carry on liquids over or under 21 years of age.

No you can not put a bottle of vodka in your daufhters suitcase. Unless you want to cause a lot of hassles for her.

the airline will allow you to put a bottle in your suitcase as long as you check your bag (not carry on). however, your daughter is underage and that my friend is serving a minor and illegal.

I think its okay if its in the luggage that goes under the plane (checked luggage). But when she's checking in make sure to ask the desk clerk just in case.

Do not send it in her hand held luggage they will throw it away.
