Where are the best (and cheapest) places to get an english bulldog (the ones that walk on their knuckles) and a puggle? Do they get along?

English Bulldogs don't walk on their knuckles. That is only in cartoons.
You will find plenty of puggles here> http://search.petfinder.com/search/search.cgi?action=1&pet.Animal=Dog&pet.Breed=pug&pet.Age=&pet.Size=S&pet.Sex=&location=&preview=1&scope=0&x=12&y=11
Just put in your own zip code..Get only one dog at a time, and don't get the second one before the first one is trained.

A puggle is not a real dog. Before you get mad--Yes I believe in getting a mutt and in fact mine is a mix of a lhasa and a cavalier spaniel. That does not make him some breeders idea of a cavapso or a lhaspaniel. Do not pay money for a mutt. They are at shelters across the nation. Recently people have started breeding poodles but if you don't have papers from both parents, it is merely a mutt. I wouldn't even consider paying more than $100 (since usually the breeder does get it's first and often second shots).

Now as far as dogs getting along, there are no such thing as breeds that naturally do not get along. Some breeds like pit bulls have more severe attacks than others on people but as far as being associated with other dogs, it all depends on how they were raised and how they feel they rate in the pack order. Of course since you should be the pack leader, they learn to accept the other dog as a member of the pack.

Bulldogs are very friendly dogs and generally good with children. With those types of dogs (pugs and bulldogs) both have very similar breathing problems and both are indoor dogs that dont do well with high heat conditions. I would make sure I got the english bulldog from a reputable breeder however as it (like the maltese) has b/c very popular with nigerian/camaroon scams. Be very careful of ads in the newspaper wanting to send you the dog with no shipping fees. Most breeders refuse to ship the dog as they don't know you or how you will treat the dog.

Hope this is the answer you were seeking. Neither of those breeds are common enough to really bring down the price (like a cocker spaniel is) so I don't know how you can find the cheapest. Good luck and enjoy your pets. They are wonderful companions and definitely sweet affectionate dogs.

"Best and Cheapest" don't really go together when it comes to well bred dogs. The English Bulldog and Puggle are two VERY expensive dogs. Purchasing either of these breeds from a reputable breeder will cost you anywhere from $800 - $2000 dollars. (Especially the English Bulldog).

If you are not willing or cannot afford to buy from a reputable breeder you will end up with a dog that has health problems and you will be supporting poor breeding practices. If your budget doesn't appear to support that price tag, you might want to look at a shelter. Keep in mind that even after the initial purchase of a dog, they can be expensive to maintain. We don't want you to get a dog only to realize it is too expensive to maintain and have it end up in a shelter like so many other dogs.

Good Luck!

Why not try a rescue? Buying "cheap" puppies encourages backyard breeders and puppy mills. A cheap puppy is likely to have more health problems than one that is well bred.
