What happened to my keyboard? When I tried to type, instead of letters showing up, it started openig windows?

No, its not the keys. It could have been due to the damage (may be brokenpins ) to the keyboards PS2 plug.

you probably pressed the windows button beside the alt key or just a little glitch, restart it
