These gates are usually wood (sometimes plastic) and they look like lattice-work. Where can I buy one online and what are they actually called? Thanks.

Target and Walmart sell baby gates. If you are using it near stairs I would recommend the wooden ones that screw into the wall. You can remove the main part of the gate and put it aside if it gets in your way and easily but it right back on. (we have 3 of these gates) They do sell them on-line but it's cheaper to get them in the store. I think Baby First is one of the companies that sells them.

Baby gates, or baby safety gates. If you go into a search engine and type in either term, it will pull up various companies you can order them from.

Have a good day.
