I have been using H&R block for the past few years but I don't have many deductions or anything like that, pretty easy from what I've looked at and I want to do my own this year to save some money. I've seen some tax programs out the but there a little more than i want to pay so I want to know of some cheap tax programs that you've used and liked. Thanks

If your adjusted gross income is below $52,000.00 you can go to the IRS website and use H&R Block's TaxCut for FREE by clicking on the Free File link at the top of the page.

Well, Tax Cut is the tax software that H&R block offers. There are a few others, but don't buy anything that doesn't offer audit protection. No matter what you choose, there are still going to be some kind of filing fees associated with the filing process.

However, this year I found a site that actually paid my filing fees for me. I went through their steps (which took about 30 minutes) and they paid all of my filing fees back to me. They also informed me that, if I had owed the IRS instead of getting a return, that they would have paid up to $500 of my taxes for me. I hope that they offer the same incentives next year so that I can file for free again... Check them out to see how much money that they can save you.

Go to the IRS website. They have a way you can efile thru them now online..if you have very simple taxes...fed is free and state is like $12 bucks.

It works like those software programs and ask you questions. You just transfer your info from your w-2 forms and then mail them in after
