If I wear regular dental braces, and will have'em for another year, can I still enter the military next month? Not invisalign...the metal kind...lol.

BTW, no, i'm not actually going next month. I was just using it as an example, to put the situation in perspective. I'm actually planning on going in about 6 months, but i'll still have braces then too.

You see, this is what stresses me out. One person says absolutely I can and the next person says absolutely not! Both sides sound convincing, how do I know who is right and who is wrong?

You can, but you will have to have all dental/orthodonic equipment removed before you ship for boot camp. No braces in boot camp. Sorry those are the rules.

Have you already gone to MEPS and everything? They should have told you no already. If you haven't been to MEPS yet, it is very unusual to be able to ship to boot camp so quickly. It all depends, but if this is a big plan for you, you need to talk to a recruiter now if you want to ship out anytime soon.

Absoluty you can. And, if you have any dental records, ask the recruiter if you need to take them. Oh, everything will be free when you enlist.
