To those who responded to my question/comments only one seemed to get it. Others got even nastier, judgmental or lectured on "turn the other cheek."
I don't care what anyone calls me, believe about me, etc. I DO CARE WHEN THEY THROW DIRT IN THE FACE OF THE MAN WHO WAS SCROURGED BEYOND ALL HUMAN RECOGNTION AND AT EXTREME COST TO SAVE PEOPLE FROM THEMSELVES. I'm deeply grateful and awed for what Jesus voluntarily did for me. Anyone know what a Roman cat'onine-tails is" It's a multi-pronged whip with hooks on the end that when pulled back from a lash across the skin, rips the skin away from the body. That's what Jesus went through for ALL of us, even those who make fun and make dirty remarks. Jesus demonstrated Righteous anger when he drove the money changers from the temple with a whip. He did not smile and turn away and say, "Oh God will take care of them. Anger is not a sin when it is appropriate anger.

Righteous anger, is the state of recognizing an injustice which has been done contrary to God's Word. This anger is passionate, rooted in truth, and does not cause one to lose control of their emotions and actions.

In contrast, unrighteous anger, often results when someone feels others have "personally" resisted, attacked, or challenged, what they've attempted to share about God's Word. The anger has nothing to do with God, but is selfish in nature, and stems from self-righteous pride.

You can tell the difference between the two, because self-righteous anger often holds a grudge, eventually turns to bitterness, and causes one to go on and on simply to be proven right or obtain the final say.

Believers must expect to be rejected, mocked, ignored, or called foolish for speaking in the name of Jesus. It is inevitable! We're living in the last days, and spiritually mature Saints, must be quick to forgive, and not waste time brooding over injustice.

Ephesians 4:26 states: In your anger do not sin: Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry.

Blessings, Miji

If you're talking about the responses you got to your saying that you're going to use the "report abuse" button when you think people are on here to malign...just realize that you'd better be careful about how many times you hit the "report abuse" button, and who you are reporting, and why. If you report people too often, you can wind up getting kicked off of here. There IS room for debate on this forum, and some people have no problem with a healthy debate. If you become enraged every time someone disagrees with you, or you disagree with someone, and go reporting them, you're going to wind up getting kicked off. It's not your place to censor others opinions and beliefs on this forum. And I'm not trying to be unfriendly in saying that. I'm just saying to make sure to keep the reporting to people who are truly just being abusive and not people who are just strongly disagreeing, presenting their side to a debate, or someone who's obviously upset at some insult directed at them. You yourself talk about "appropriate" anger; anger isn't only appropriate when you're the one who's angry. Sometimes people of different beliefs than yours get angry at things said to them, and will respond that way, and you can't just go around reporting them, either. Nobody has a problem with someone reporting a truly abusive poster, just be careful.

Righteous anger for most is a lie. No form of anger outside of absolute altruism, which only an awakened being can accomplish, is "righteous". Do you REALLY think an altruistic being really CARES if someone throws dirt? Don't you think that altruistic being SEES the emptiness of the actions of those "throwing dirt" with a calm mind? (i.e. arises due to causes and conditions) and has COMPASSION?

Relax... let the altruistic beings defend themselves.

It's like you wrote, Jesus had righteous anger when He drove the money changers out of the temple. Jesus was sinless and people are sinners, so I don't think we can have righteous anger. Who's to say what is righteous, for people they can say it's anything, but what's important is to follow Jesus Christ' teachings.

um, could you possibly get a grip?
thing is, people who say those things don't believe he existed (or if he did was merely human), nor that he did those things, and it's not really up to you to monitor & sensor the beleifs of others, who may also have similarly "appropriate" anger. if it bothers you, perhaps there would be a better place for someone of your sensitivity.

He got strung up like a thousand other people who were no doubt innocent too.

If you believe the story he came from one dimension to "die" in another and then got to go back to his old realm with a better gig

BIG DEAL

I feel true pity for the 8000 children who die daily in Africa through no fault of their own
