I have duck eggs and there is one that started pipping at the wrong end and has been for about a day in a half so when i tried to help it out a bit it started bleeding and so i thought i should stop. What is wrong and what do i need to do?

I hate to tell you but it's natural selection, he'll either make it out or he won't. We hatch chickens every year at school and the kids know that some "just don't have it in them" to make it out and survive. My grandfather raised chickens and turkeys for years, and the ones we "helped out" never seemed to make it too long after hatching....

the duckling needs a little help. gently enlarge the crack so it can breathe. it will find the energy to crack out. bleeding is fine. it will heal once the duck is out and has dried. place the ducklings under warm lamp.

its fine..i had chickens,pigeons,ducks..whenever a egg is hatching i like to help em out cuz im always excited to see em,some of them bled but its fine belive me...just be really gentle and careful
