Hoping to get anotehr response from polize88. When in this field do you run with infantry and interogate people they run into, do you operate only out of an interrogation room? Anyone who has any info on this particular MOS in MI would be greatly appreciated.

I'm not sure exactly what you're trying to learn, but I can tell you a little about front line infantry intelligence officer ( S2 ).
A battalion S2, in addition to dozens of other duties, has the job of interrogating enemy prisoners .The reason they're interrogated right up at the front lines is because they have been prisoners for only a few minutes.
To them, everything is confusing. They haven't had time to talk things over with other prisoners, they don't know what's going to happen to them, they're scared out of their skin. So they talk freely.
By the time they're turned over to the military police way back behind the lines they begin to clam up. Much information is lost.
The battalion intelligence officer ( S2 ) is always in full uniform. He is not a spy. His job is to know what he enemy position and condition is only in the area covered by his battalion. He must often make patrols deep behind enemy lines in order to get the necessary information ( intelligence ) needed. In addition, his men must man lookout towers and positions to observe the enemy.
Sorry, I'm not the guy you're looking for, but I hope this helps you.
