Has anyone tried this? Is it good? Does it really taste good without boiling-or should I boil it a little anyway?

This is the only lasagna I'll use. I discovered it a few years ago and (like you) was skeptical. It turned out to be great though, and cuts the lasagna making time in half. :) One word of advice though, if you do use it--make sure when you layer your sauce, cheese, etc. that the last (top) layer of lasagna is covered with sauce completely. If there's even a tiny corner sticking out, it won't cook because there's no liquid to soak into it if it's open to air.

I love this stuff! You do not need to boil it at all. Just put it in the recipe the way you would the boil variety.In fact, I don't bother boiling any lasagna noodles anymore.

My family thinks it tastes very good.

You don't actually need special noodles to make lasagna without pre-boiling. You just need to have enough liquid (sauce) in your lasagna when baking in order to cook the noodles.

I’ve never used them personally but my friend made Lasagna once using the no boil lasagna noodles and it turned out great. I had always assumed the noodles would come out undercooked but I was wrong it tasted just the same too me.

Wow, what a coincidence. I'm using the same thing tonight! And I remarked to my husband that I hated no-boil noodles because they don't work, but I'd give them another try. More liquid, huh? I'll have to add something to the sauce then.

i have to agree with kirene. add a small can of tomato paste and then the same amount of water to your sauce. it helps give it the juice it needs to fully cook the noodles and ensure that the lasagna isn't dry. i like mueller's no boil noodles better than barilla, though, b/c the texture is more like that of noodles that you boil. the barilla noodles are very thin.

its perfectly fine to use this product straight from the box.
An Italian friend of mine told me that his mother (now in her 80's) has been using hard, dry pasta for lasagna all her life, and that this "no cook" pasta is nothing new conceptually...

I used those exact noodles last night for my lasagna and it was great..saved so much time and dishes..my husband said it was the best lasagna he'd had...you couldn't tell the difference....i'm never going back!
